I am now in Cortez, Colorado. Working and looking at property. The area is lovely, the Mesa Verde and Ute Mountains dominate the skyline. Thought I would share my photos as I travel around the area... enjoy.

I traveled into Utah and visited the Hovenweep Ruins and then on to the Lowery Ruins to the south. The ruins stand in very rugged land surrounded by the mountains.

Manca. is as small town to the east of Cortez. The town is famous for its arts and crafts and a whole street of galleries and art workshops.

While driving around Cortez and the surrounding areas the amount of wildlife you see is quite staggering. the deer where just by the side of the road on the Utah border, the Red-Tailed Hawks are all over the sky's here. Not sure on the lizard, some form of skink I think. The dog is one of the many that people take in from the Native American reservations around here. Its called "Joy", is owned by a friend of mine and is know as a Reservoir Dog.
